“You have to eat your dinner first”…
Waiting to eat dessert. For me, this was the hardest part of growing up. Honestly.
Seeing the dessert being prepared, smelling that sweet aroma that fills the air, and yet, not being able to have it…this was pure torture and the sole reason I decided, at ten years old, that I would no longer wait for somebody else to make my desserts.
I grew up, got married to the love of my life and had two incredible daughters. I got my degree in Pastry and Baking Arts, worked in a top French restaurant in New York City and had a successful business making fancy decorated cakes. Well, maybe not in that order.
Later on, we moved to Canada… Here I kept baking cakes, sold Dulce de Leche at the Farmer’s Market, taught baking skills to underprivileged children and was even a judge at Cordon Bleu! But as much fun as I was having, all I wanted to do was go back to my childhood kitchen and make those chocolate brownies that I was never allowed to eat…
And now I can.
Finally, I can share my passion by creating artisan brownies that treat you to your favourite childhood flavours with a gourmet flair.
